-day 5 [thursday, 24/03/2022]

 Today's achievements:

  • Completed a questionnaire on emotional intelligence
  • Completed my first Alice Feeney novel 'Rock, Paper, Scissors'

I have this vivid image of Alice Feeney attending a writing workshop with peers like Shari Lapena and Paula Hawkins. They line up for the latest exercise, which is to pull thought-starting prompts from a bag at random. Whatever they chose must be basis of their next thriller. Alice reaches in, pulls out a slip of paper, reads the single word "prosopagnosia", and smirks knowing she's drawn a winner.
I didn't really like any of the characters, but overall this didn't really matter. I loved how the book was laid out and how the plots were revealed- the characters to each other and to the readers. This novel comes into play in more ways than one in this creepy, atmospheric, and surprising tale.
I really loved this one despite it being my first book of Alice Feeney's. I was hooked and sucked in except for a few loose ends. I also loved the fact that she added appropriate words of the year and the game rocks, papers, scissors has a recurring place in the book.
